The adaptations created a series of compliant consultant and treatment rooms all with the required ventilation standards. The new flexible layout will allow the building to be zoned if required with separate access/egress routes and sub waiting areas provided.
The scheme was delivered using the SCAPE framework.
Blu were appointed as client-side project managers, Client Health and Safety advisors and NEC Supervisor from inception to completion.
Beech Ward Safety Suite
This highly complex building was part of the Trust's rollout of safety suite enhancement projects and is one of six brand new safety suites covering the Trust estate. The works were delivered via the NHS P22 National framework.
Services provided included Client-Side Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, and Clerk of Works.
Grove View Integrated Healthcare Hub and Apartments
The contemporary-designed hub, the first to be built in Central Bedfordshire, will serve the people of Dunstable and the surrounding villages. The bright, light-filled building is adorned with contemporary public artwork inspired by the memories of local people, which can be seen in the waiting areas and some of the consulting rooms.
Services provided included Client-Side Project Manager, Clerk of Works, and artwork and signage design and installation.
